We were asked to build a porch on the back of this house with a balcony. on the back of this house in the Glebe. The foundation had been recently repaired so there was no existing porch or stairs.

The only unusual or difficult thing about this work is that the balcony floor  must be built to drain and to prevent water from infiltrating the structure. In this case, the floor is 2x6 tongue and groove cedar, sloped slightly from the house , with an underlying waterproof layer on plywood that drains as well.
