This porch replaces the original porch, which was over 100 years old, using the  same configuration, size  and details as closely as current building codes allow. The code required quite a bit heavier framing and some changes to the railing. The original porch would have been finished in pine, but we always use cedar which has much better rot resistant qualities.

The porch will be painted in spring 2021.
